This palette by Chantecaille is dedicated to donating a percentage of this palette's sales to help sharks and keep them well. According to Chantecaille, there is highlighter, eye shadow, eyeliner, and blush. I can see these all being used as eye shadow however, because the pigmentation is pretty strong. These last all day without any creasing (with eye primer).
"Great White" is a highlighter. It features a champagne, beige color, and an inner color which is a luminous cream color. This set of colors is actually the least pigmented, but still takes only two layers to get full coverage. Contrary to what you see in its pan, these two colors are very hard to distinguish from each color. But the lighter color is the slightest bit less shimmery/luminous, and a little paler. If applied lightly, I could see this as a great highlighter for someone with medium to dark skin.
"Grey Reef" features a dark gray color with an inner light bronze color. These go on opaquely with ease. These are certainly not matte, but they show only a very small amount of shimmer. Both colors are easily distinguishable, and would work great in combination with each other.
"Black Tip" is supposedly an eyeliner, and I tested this as both an eyeliner and eye shadow. I find this doesn't work as well for an eyeliner because it isn't consistent in texture. The inner color is a grayish black, and the outer color is a cool-toned, deep royal blue. Because this is meant to be an eyeliner, this has a nearly matte finish. The luminosity in these colors are almost undetectable. I find them to be slightly chalky and don't apply as evenly as the other duos in this palette.
"Sea Anemone" is supposed to be a cheek color duo. The inner color is a very light, silvery pink and the outer color is a peach-toned, medium pink with subtle gold flecks. These two are not as pigmented as Grey Reef of Black Tip, but can be built up, making them suitable for both the needs of the eyelids, or the cheeks.
Aside from the shades, these duos are all complementing each other while being creatively designed in a fin in water mold. The packaging on this is beautifully constructed, with the complete outside of this palette being a silvery, luminous beige with a simple illustration of a blue and white shark on the upper portion. There is also a mirror on the inside.
I think this is an excellent palette. It helps save animals, has eye-catching and creative packaging, and the quality of the duos is both of high quality and versatility. You could mix around these colors a lot and use some as eyeliner, some as eye shadow, and some on the face.
